SignUpSpree started with a simple observation: schools and nonprofits are stuck with volunteer management tools that feel like they were built in 2008, covered in ads, and designed to upsell at every turn.
The story
After one too many complaints about ads appearing on volunteer sign-up pages, interrupted by a paywall when trying to export a simple list, we decided enough was enough.
SignUpSpree is built by ClickingSpree, a small team that builds focused, opinionated tools for communities that have been underserved by software. Our products are simple, fast, and built on the premise that users — not advertisers — are the customer.
We started with the basics: sign-up sheets that don't require volunteers to make an account, reminders that actually fire, and an interface that doesn't feel like a tax form. Then we listened. Schools needed class group management. PTAs needed ticket distribution with fair lotteries. Theater parents needed QR check-in that couldn't be screenshot-faked.
So we built all of it.
